The National Environmental Collective (NEC) is a coalition of organizations dedicated to advancing environmental justice and sustainability. Formed in 2023, the NEC brings together community groups, veterans associations, and youth programs to tackle major environmental challenges impacting communities of color and low-income populations.

The NEC's partners represent diverse constituencies across the country, but share a goal of creating healthier, more equitable communities.

 A non-profit connecting urban communities, especially youth, to outdoor recreation and stewardship opportunities on public lands. Their programs aim to cultivate future generations of diverse environmental leaders. 

 An organization preserving the legacy of African American cavalry regiments who protected national parks after the Civil War. They promote stewardship of public lands through volunteer service projects, education programs, and partnerships. 

 A summer employment program engaging youth in public land management projects. The program provides job skills, educational experiences, and career exposure for young people from diverse backgrounds. 

 Local community events and competitions focused on getting urban youth engaged with recreational fishing. They provide equipment, instruction, and opportunities to experience public waters.
